Rules

From TypeGG Wiki
Revision as of 10:20, 22 March 2026 by Gizmo (talk | contribs) (Enhanced the rules. Added quote submission rules which links to ranking criteria and covers explicit guidelines. Wording on all rules is more thorough)

General Rules

  1. Each player is permitted only one account. The account created upon initial registration is the sole account you may use. Creating multiple accounts or sharing account access with others for any reason is strictly prohibited.
  2. Cheating is forbidden. It is never allowed to use software, scripts, bots, macros, or automation tools to artificially enhance your typing speed, accuracy, or performance on any quote. Making temporary modifications to your keyboard layout or operating system to gain an advantage on specific quotes is considered cheating. If you think your hardware or software configuration is breaking the rules, consult the Keyboard Input Specification.
  3. All profile content must be non-explicit. Content on your profile page - including your profile picture, banner, and "About Me" section - must not contain explicit material. This rule also applies to multiplayer chat messages.

Quote Submission Rules

These rules apply to all quotes on TypeGG, not just Ranked ones. For more in-depth rules on Ranked quotes, see the Ranking Criteria.

  1. Follow the explicit content guidelines. All quotes on TypeGG must adhere to the explicit content guidelines. Quotes that contain strong language, sexual references, or other mature themes must be flagged as "Explicit." Quotes that are pornographic, excessively violent, or promote hate are never permitted and will be removed. Quote thumbnails must always remain safe for work. For specific details, consult the Explicit Guidelines.
  2. No AI slop. Content generated by AI, including both the quote text and its source material, is not permitted.
